CPRA Youth Employment Experience

The Canadian Parks and Recreation Association (CPRA) has secured Government of Canada funding via the Youth Employment and Skills Strategy (YESS) Program to support job placements for youth.  Via the CPRA Youth Employment Experience program, eligible organizations (local governments including cities, towns, communities, among others) will be able to hire additional youth (via 100% wage subsidies) to work in the community parks and recreation sector.

Over the course of this 3-year program, over 250 youth will be engaged in the CPRA Youth Employment Experience program. Calls for funding will be announced each year. The program will end in December 2023.

IMPORTANT DATES:
May 14, 2021 – Application Deadline
June  2, 2021 – Notice of Decision
June  7, 2021 – Earliest Job Start Date

This is an open competition, and eligible organizations are invited to apply in English or in French.
